- Eudora Mailbox Cleaner (EMC) successfully splits TB mbox into emlx without any problem.
- Mail import function does not splits TB mbox correctly. Sometimes more than 2 emails are combined.
- EMC seems the best solution in this sense, however, Mail could not rebuild the split emlx files into its database. So, you will see the correct folder structure without any real messages.
My study for the last weekend finally solved the issues. If you are willing to import emails from TB to Mail, this seemingly-complex process below is worth to try.
- Download EMC at here.
- Unpack the EMC single file and drop your TB folder on it.
- Choose from TB to Mac options on it.
- You could see your messages split correctly on Mail folder. However, at this stage, Mail could not recognized the messages in its DB.
- In Mail, go to File > Import Mailboxes > Apple Mail.
- Choose the folder where the split messages are stored.
- Voilà!
